Home to the world’s most inspired thinkers, the TED stage is a global platform where cutting edge ideas converge and millions are inspired day in, day out. Building on a partnership between TED and the Skoll Foundation, TEDxSkoll invites new audiences to hear from social entrepreneurs and other innovators about the most important issues of our time. We believe that innovative approaches to social change are ideas worth spreading, and are excited to host social entrepreneurs alongside leaders from technology, entertainment, design and beyond to celebrate the ideas that do—or can—change the world.
TEDx is run around the world on the generosity of amazing volunteers and champions. We'd like you to join us for what will be an incredible day!
Being a TEDxSkoll Champion goes far beyond something impressive to add to your CV. Join the team to be part of a unique experience with some great benefits, including the chance to connect with new people with shared interests, gain new skills, and represent a global platform, with all meals provided throughout the day and a TEDxSkoll t-shirt that is yours to keep.
Being a Champion won’t be easy. You will be needed all day on Friday 7th April, and unfortunately you will be unable to see all of the talks. If you’re really keen to hear the speakers or don’t think you’d being able to commit to the entire day, then being a Champion is not the role for you. In this instance, we invite you to purchase a ticket to attend the event and enjoy it in full.
We are looking for energetic, passionate TEDxSkoll Champions to bring the day alive and create an unforgettable experience. There are many possible roles to fill, including registering audience members, answering questions, ushering, and guiding people to and from the venue.
We need all of our Champions to be fully informed to give the audience the best experience possible. Therefore, we invite you to attend a vital information session before the event. We also think working as a team is really important, and we want to make sure you have a rich experience and get to know everyone you will be working alongside, so there will be opportunity to socialise as a team at this session too.
Date: Monday 20th March
Venue: Impact Hub Birmingham. Please note that if you are based in Oxford we do not expect you to attend this and we will give you all the relevant information on the morning of the event.

Exact timings will be confirmed, but the coach will leave Birmingham around 8am and not return until 11pm.
